Appointments can be arranged via our booking form, Instagram, or email – depending on the artist and the type of tattoo. A deposit between €50 and €150 is required to secure your appointment. The amount depends on the artist and the size of your design. Deposits can be paid in cash, via bank transfer, or PayPal, as agreed individually. The deposit will be deducted from the final price on the day of your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable, as they cover the artist’s preparation and design work. If you cancel at least 48 hours in advance, your deposit can be transferred to a new appointment. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session will result in the deposit being retained as a cancellation fee. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session — payable in cash, via PayPal, or instant bank transfer, depending on the artist.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 48 hours before without losing your deposit. In case of illness or force majeure, please contact your artist — exceptions can be made by individual agreement.
3. Liability & Health
Clients must arrive in good health and free from alcohol or drugs. We do not tattoo anyone under 18 years old. Atelier Scarabée and its artists are not liable for allergic reactions, infections, or other complications that may occur after the tattoo procedure. Touch-up policies vary between artists and will be discussed individually. Some artists may offer free touch-ups within a certain time frame, others may charge a small fee.
4. Copyright & Use of Photos
With your prior consent, we may take photos or videos of your tattoo to use for portfolio or social media purposes. All tattoo designs and sketches remain the intellectual property of the respective artist and may not be copied, modified, or reproduced without permission.
5. Gift Cards & Merchandise
Gift cards are available directly from the respective artists and are valid for 3 years from the purchase date. They are transferable but non-refundable. Merchandise such as prints or clothing may be offered in the future.
6. Legal Information
All agreements are governed by German law. Place of jurisdiction is Bochum, Germany. We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution procedures before a consumer arbitration board.
